For animal portraits I work principally from photographs. If you want good results I need to have a good photo! You can send photos to me via email using my contact page. Alternatively, you may like to arrange a visit to my studio to discuss ideas and it is always beneficial to meet the subject as photographs do not always show an animal's true colour, literally.
The eyes are the most important feature to be captured. As they say, "the eyes are the windows to the soul" and they portray an animal's personality, be it cheeky, excitable, stoic, or simply just loving and adorable.
If you would like a 'subject' painting, be it similar to a painting featured in my gallery or something completely different, then please let me know and we can discuss the possibilities.
No two works will ever be the same but as a rough guide an unframed animal portrait in pastel would be in the range of £175 to £300.
